The NFL's My Cause My Cleats campaign is a player-led initiative where players, coaches and staff wear custom-designed cleats to spotlight the causes and nonprofits they care about most. Positive Athlete is excited to have two impactful athletes highlighting our cause during this season's campaign: Devonte Wyatt of the Green Bay Packers, and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Champ Bailey. Both stars have experienced the impact of the program in their own way - Devonte as a recipient of a Positive Athlete award in GA back in 2017, and Champ as the current Lead Athlete and spokesperson for Positive Athlete. Check out how each are highlighting our program during this season's initiative:

"As a 2-time Nationwide Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year candidate, I know how being nominated spurred me to give back even more. Positive Athlete is a similar program that allows me to encourage the 10 million boys and girls playing high school sports in America in the same way, with scholarships and character development resources. I'm hoping people will join me in supporting a movement to expand these efforts that recognize, empower and connect high character athletes in sports across the country."
-Champ Bailey, Pro Football Hall of Famer, Denver Broncos
For the 2016-17 nomination year, Devonte Wyatt was recognized as Georgia’s Most Positive Football Athlete for choosing discipline, focus, and integrity at a moment that could have gone another way. Surrounded by peers heading down difficult paths, Devonte chose football—and his future.

That decision led him to the University of Georgia, where he earned a scholarship, made the honor roll, and mentored younger athletes who looked up to him. Today, as a starting defensive lineman for the Green Bay Packers, he continues to lead by example.

"Many kids have talent to make it to the next level but not the resources. Groups like Positive Athlete that can support kids, helping them achieve their goals is important."
-Devonte Wyatt, Defensive Lineman, Green Bay Packers
