Marin Purdy Earns Two Positive Athlete Awards in Los Angeles

Viewpoint sophomore Marin Purdy earned two honors from Positive Athlete in 2025-26, named the 2026 Most Positive Girls Swimming Athlete in Los Angeles and the first-ever recipient of the Tayden Ripple Effect Award. She was chosen from a national pool of more than 15,000 nominees representing over 6,000 high schools, a field from which only about five percent receive recognition. Beyond her work in the pool, Purdy is a Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador and a Presidential Volunteer Service Award recipient who has turned managing Type 1 diabetes into a platform for advocacy and encouragement.
